NOTE: Many years ago a list of Allweiss Family “Trees” was started by cousin Esther Ingbar Allweiss. At that time it had about 12 “Trees”. Through her preliminary hard work and organization I have been able to build upon that foundation. I have renamed them “Branches” as each is an offshoot from the core “Allweiss Tree” (regardless of the spelling). Please review and see if you can solve a piece of this puzzle. Go to www.hoaroots.org to see the all Allweiss cousins. Contact me at www.patty@hoa.org with your questions or information.

It’s been a while
19. July 2009 by admin.
I have many new pictures and articles to update in this blog. Since my last entry I have taken 4 classes at Irvine Valley College. They include French 2nd year, French Pronunciation, French Culture and History, and finally a piano class. Besides school, I have traveled to Arizona, New York, Canada, Michigan, and Las Vegas since my last posting. When not studying I have been entering data onto the family website at www.hoaroots.org. Everyday I add new information and copies of original documents. Please send photos. The site becomes much more interesting for family members when photos are added.

Learning to BLOG
7. February 2009 by admin.
I’ve signed up for an 8-week course called “Beginning Blogging On-line”. The class is designed to make a blog site interesting through text, photos, audio, music, video, and hyperlinks (???). Although I am currently taking 3 classes at the community college (French II, French Pronunciation, and Piana), I have so much information to share that I want to do it in an interesting and expeditious way. Ideas for future blogs include the following:
1) Photos of family members in their military uniforms sorted by wars.
2) Photos of the catholic church in Fougerolles, France, that the Fresard family members attended in the 17th and 18th century.
3) Video of Salek and Zyga Allweiss relaying their stories of survival during the holocaust.
4) Migration patterns of the Allweiss family.
5) Research and discussion of the claim that the Allweiss/Alweis/Allweis family descends from a rabbinic line.
